Put clients / resellers in a group or filter clients

Is this possible? I want to organize clients / resellers in a group folder. I can then assign a product package or product category to be only viewable or orderable by a client group. Or I can assign different reseller discounts for a reseller group. For example, I assign reseller to Bronze group and another to Platinum group. It should be possible to make a coupon valid for members of a group only. It should be possible to send email alerts (warning, promotion, outage, etc) to a certain group also. Can you filter clients based on the product package they are subscribed to? For example list all clients subscribed to Hosting Package A.
